Holzbaupreis Berlin Brandenburg 2025 | Honorable Mention – Category New Construction

Our project EDEKA Future Market Nauen received an Honorable Mention in the category New Construction at the Holzbaupreis Berlin-Brandenburg (Timber Construction Award). The timber construction features a hall structure with highly insulated exterior walls in prefabricated timber frame construction, incorporating cellulose insulation and a wooden facade. The jury particularly praises the holistic approach of the Zukunftsmarkt Nauen: “Here, not just a single element was improved—instead, everything from the building shell to the building services and energy supply was geared towards sustainability, without losing sight of customer friendliness.”

Our project Kokoni One | Timer Construction Quarter at the Orchard Berlin and the CRCLR House in Berlin, for which ZRS Ingenieure planned the supporting structure of the entire building, received as well Honorable Mentions.

A total of 76 projects were submitted for the award, which is organized by the Landesbeirat Holz Berlin-Brandenburg. The award honors buildings that combine sustainability, innovation, and architectural quality at the highest level, enriching the region’s building culture. The competition aims to highlight the diversity and innovative power of timber construction and to recognize those who create future-oriented solutions using this renewable building material.
