HEINZE ARCHITEKTURFUNK #135 | PROF. ANDREA KLINGE: THE DISARMAMENT OF THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR

In a new episode of the Heinze podcast Architekturfunk, Andrea Klinge, ZRS Architekten, talks about the steps that will bring us closer to a so called “Bauwende” (a sustainable transformation of the construction sector). Among other things, she discusses the demands for a stop of demolition and a “disarmament of the construction sector” as well as the advantages and disadvantages of different building materials. She also discusses very specific findings from our daily work – for example from the project Holz Ziegel Lehm | Pilot Projekt Sustainable Housing Berlin, which has been under construction for a few months and is trialling robust construction with renewable, climate-controlling building materials and reduced use of building technology.
