KICK-OFF: EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROJECT INBUILT PROJECT
The INBUILT project, in which ZRS Architekten is involved, held its kick-off meeting at the end of 31 January. The research project is part of Horizon Europe and aims to advance sustainable building practices across Europe, in particular the reduction of CO2 emissions during the construction, operation and demolition of buildings. In addition to the integration of a BIM-based digital platform, the strategy includes the development of ten innovative products and systems – for example, large-sized rammed earth blocks or mushroom-based materials. ZRS Architekten will support the development of prefabricated wall elements made from waste wood and recycled paper through to installation in the prototypes and the planned monitoring.
