Polis Award 2025 | 2nd prize – Category “Ecological Reality”

Our project “Kokoni One | Timber Construction Quarter at the Orchard” was honored with the polis Award 2025. It received the 2nd prize in the category “Ecological Reality.” From 170 submitted projects, the jury—chaired by Rainer Nagel, Chairman of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur—selected the winners across eight categories.

Kokoni One is a compact neighborhood in Berlin comprising 84 housing units. With its circular timber construction and cross-neighborhood energy concept, it fits perfectly into the “Ecological Reality” category of the polis Award. This category recognizes projects that prioritize factors such as energy efficiency and resource saving, while also contributing to future generations through principles like urban mining.
