How do we establish a new understanding of value beyond established standards, routines, and processes?
Building within planetary boundaries is a mission that connects K+E, NBL and ZRS. The exhibition wertschau shows how new things emerge from an appreciation of what already exists and illustrates a shift toward a practice which does not consume resources, but rather respects, maintains and rethinks them.
In this network consisting of a planning office and university institutions, research and building practice interlock closely: conception, planning and implementation take place reciprocally — interdisciplinarily, transdisciplinarily and often in real-laboratory formats.
The projects and objects on display do not offer universal answers, but rather buildings, people and their stories. The focus is deliberately on selected aspects of their creation, inviting visitors to explore various non-monetary values tactilely, visually and conceptually—as a foundation for collective appreciation.
