The exhibition wertschau was on show at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2 to 22 July 2026, on the first floor of the Faculty of Architecture. It was developed jointly by ZRS Architekten Ingenieure, the Natural Building Lab (NBL) at TU Berlin and the Chair of Konstruieren Entwerfen (K+E) at KIT, bringing together research and practical knowledge on building within planetary boundaries.

 After its first stop at the auau gallery in Hamburg, Karlsruhe was the exhibition’s second stop. In the spirit of circular economy and to avoid transport emissions, some of the objects shown in Hamburg had been built from borrowed reclaimed timber and were returned to the lender, Wilhelmsburger Zinnwerke, after deinstallation. For Karlsruhe, students built new exhibition objects from reclaimed timber during the seminar week and adapted the exhibition system to the rooms of the architecture faculty.
