This year, the nationwide “Tag der Architektur” will take place on the last weekend of June. Together with Bruno Fioretti Marquez, we are offering two guided tours at the Holz Ziegel Lehm | Pilot Project Sustainable Housing Berlin. The new construction in Alt-Britz, commissioned by the Berlin housing association STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft, is being carried out by the Arge ZRS Architekten and Bruno Fioretti Marquez. The project is accompanied and evaluated scientifically throughout its planning, construction, and use phases.

The aim is to reduce the use of building technology through climate-adapted design and simple but robust construction with renewable, climate-controlling building materials and thereby reducing CO2 emissions in the construction of conventional residential buildings by at least 50 %.

In Berlin, around 80 sites are featured in this year’s program. Among them is the West Head Building of the former Tempelhof Airport, where ZRS contributed to the refurbishment through a feasibility study, extensive structural analyses, tendering and awarding of contracts, as well as site supervision (LP 6-8).
