Topping out ceremony | New workshop building for Konrad-Zuse-Schule

The topping out ceremony for the new workshop building was celebrated on the 8.10.2020. In the previous months the building in pure timber construction has been assembled and will be completed in early 2021. The combination of renewable materials, a sturdy construction and a LowTech strategy makes the building sustainable and flexible. The new building will provide the school with new workshops and classrooms.

Together with political guests and the building crew, planning team and future users we celebrated the finishing of the assembly of the new building. We would like to thank the following speakers:

Regula Lüscher, Senate Building Director and State Secretary of the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing

Beate Stoffers, State Secretary of the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family

Barbro Dreher, State Secretary of the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Business

Dr. Torsten Kühne, District councillor for school, sports, facility management and health for the Pankow district

Thorsten Joschko, Dean of Konrad-Zuse-Schule

Prof. Eike Roswag-Klinge, ZRS Architekten Ingenieure
