“Reallabor B(e) Ware” | From research straight to implementation

The “Reallabor B(e) Ware”, a joint project between the Natural Building Lab at TU Berlin and ZRS Architects and Engineers, is developing planning and construction processes for the reuse of load-bearing components in order to bridge the gap between the state of research and established construction practice. It focuses on the entire value chain, from the assessment, recovery, and processing of building materials to the creation of the infrastructural and regulatory framework for scalable reuse. The aim is to develop and test a concept for the simplified realization of sophisticated building structures from local secondary materials and the circular organization of value chains in the construction sector.

Insights into the work of the “Reallabor B(e) Ware” to date have been accompanied and documented on film by Larva Studio. Follow the valuable resource on its journey from selective dismantling to testing and processing to the production of new components in and with the Bullinger timber works factory in the video: youtube.com
