THERAPY CENTRE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN CHAMCHAMAL WINS ARCHITECTURE OF NECESSITY 2019

We are thrilled to be one of the three winners of the Architecture of Neccessity Prize 2019 for our Healing Garden Chamchamal project.

The Architecture of Necessity encourages dialogues about the basic values of architecture. A humble questioning of the living and consumption patterns that developed during the last century, which intersects many traditional political barriers. Since 2010 the prize is awarded every three years to outstanding projects in the field of sustainable and socially orientated architecture projects to promote a dialogue over the values at the heart of the architecture profession.

39 projects from 18 countries made it to the final phase of judging and have been displayed in an exhibition in the Viserum Konsthal in Sweeden. There is also a book publication planned.

All winners and participants can be seen here.
