At the next:earth 2026 conference on 29 April 2026 in Pfeffenhausen, Christof Ziegert will deliver the opening keynote on the topic “The Future of Earth Construction Has Begun”.

The conference brings together pioneers, practitioners and students from the field of earthen construction. It explores the architectural, technical and ecological potential of earth as a building material of the future. From load-bearing wall structures and sustainable floor systems to visionary design concepts, next:earth 2026 demonstrates how earth is redefining the way we plan and build – as a high-performance, aesthetically compelling and truly circular material.

At the heart of the conference are concrete use cases, current research findings, hands-on applications and innovative developments.
